I realized I was sending way too much data over the network. I'm now batch sending many states, compressing some states, and skipping some largely redundant states. The upshot is, I'm sending a lot less data per client. Still lots of room for improvement.
The replay buffer is now 10 frames, which should allow for good play on a connection below 300ms RTT.
Laser damage is now based on distance. Close up they are much more potent.
Swapped the team colors, so in the classic game mode the enemies appear red instead of blue.
Bullet aiming logic has been improved.
Most of the changes are largely structural and invisible. but I hope to start adding some more fun stuff soon.
